BHEL Invites Applications for Graduate Apprentices Program in Southern Region

In an effort to nurture young talent, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) - Power Sector Southern Region (PSSR) has announced the commencement of its Graduate Apprentices Program. The program aims to engage 18 engineering graduates in the fields of Civil and Mechanical Engineering for a duration of one year.

Candidates who have successfully completed their B.E./B.Tech. degrees in the relevant branches/disciplines between 2020 and 2023 from a recognized institution by the Government are eligible to apply. It is mandatory for applicants to be registered in the MHRD NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in). The age limit for general candidates is a maximum of 27 years, with relaxation provided for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government guidelines.

Upon selection as Graduate Apprentices, candidates will undergo training in various locations including Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Udangudi, Kudankulam, Tuticorin, Ennore), and Telangana (Yadadri). However, it is important to note that completion of the training program is subject to registration by the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Southern Region, Chennai.

Interested candidates are required to download the application form from the BHEL PSSR website (https://pssr.bhel.com) and submit the duly filled and signed form along with self-attested photocopies of relevant documents to the designated address. The last date to submit applications is June 13, 2023. The selection process will be based on merit, considering marks obtained in SSLC (10th-grade) and graduation, with BHEL adopting its own conversion formula for candidates with CGPA results.

During the training period, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000. However, completion of the program or engagement as a Graduate Apprentice does not guarantee employment with BHEL.
