Salary/Pay Scale for Candidates Selected Through JAG Entry in the Indian Army:
During the entire duration of training at OTA, Gentlemen or Lady Cadets selected through JAG Entry will receive a stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month. After successfully completing the training, they will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army with a pay scale of Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500/-. They will also be entitled to various allowances such as Military Service Pay (MSP), Dearness Allowance, Para Allowance, Project Allowance, Uniform Allowance, etc.
Eligibility Criteria/Educational Qualification for Indian Army JAG Entry:
To apply for Indian Army JAG Entry, candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination). Candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State. They should have graduated from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Selection Process for Indian Army JAG Entry:
The selection procedure for JAG Entry in the Indian Army consists of the following steps:
Shortlisting of applications for SSB Interview.
SSB Interview of shortlisted candidates at Selection Centres in Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (PB).
Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued joining letters for training based on the order of merit and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
Application Fees for Indian Army JAG Entry:
No application fees are required to be paid.
